Realm of the Fae by S.J. Kadile

Realm of the Fae

by S.J. Kadile

Rating: 5 star rating

I really enjoyed Realm of the Fae by S.J. Kadile. This was a fun fantasy adventure with magic, danger, friendship, and a sweet romance.

The story follows Clara, a young nurse whose life changes when her father sends her a family heirloom while he and her mother are traveling. Before long, Clara and her best friend, Melrik, find themselves pulled into the fae realm of Avenora. Suddenly, they're surrounded by magic, strange creatures, and dangers they never imagined existed.

One thing I really liked was the friendship between Clara and Melrik. They stick together through everything, and it was fun watching them learn how to survive in this new world. Ashael, a fae warrior, helps train them to fight and defend themselves. Some of my favorite scenes were when Clara and Melrik were practicing with Ashael because you could see them growing stronger and gaining confidence.

I also enjoyed the romance. There is an obvious attraction between Clara and Ashael, but it develops slowly as they spend more time together. Their relationship felt natural and added another layer to the story without taking over the adventure.

The world-building was easy to picture, and this kept me interested and turning pages. There were plenty of magical creatures, secrets, and surprises along the way. By the end, some questions are answered, but Clara learns that her connection to the fae realm is much bigger than she ever imagined. The book leaves readers with enough closure to feel satisfied while also setting up the next adventure.

If you enjoy fae stories, magical quests, loyal friendships, and clean romance, I think you'll really enjoy this one. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next.
